![]() And the inevitable horrible mess of cables inside the thing. The only parts I really hate is getting RAM embedded into the slot. We basically just spend two days trying to figure out what was wrong and in the end we found that we simply hadn't pushed hard enough on the CPU cartridge. We tried to boot and finally the system posted. We heard a "click" and we looked at each other with a blank expression. But then my friend pushed really hard on the CPU cartridge. We even went to a friend to try his RAM, graphics card and PSU on our boards. We spent hours checking everything we could think of. We booted and again the systems wouldn't post. So we went back home and put everything back together. After testing our stuff the dude in the shop said there was nothing wrong with it. So the next day we went back to the shop. We were freaking out thinking we had both bought a dead motherboard or CPU. After the installation both our PC's wouldn't boot up. Those cpu's were like a cartridge you had to slot in a socket on the motherboard. ![]() I remember when I was eighteen me and my friend had both saved up for a Pentium 3 system. ![]() The first PC I build myself was a nightmare.
